Welcome to This Must Be The Place Stays. By booking accommodation with us, you agree to comply with and be bound by the following Terms and Conditions. Please read them carefully before making your reservation.

1. Booking and Payments

  • All bookings for This Must Be The Place Stays (Isle of Arran & Isle of Skye) are processed via third-party platforms such as Booking.com. Payment for your stay will be taken on behalf of the property by the booking platform.

2. Check-In and Check-Out

  • Check-In: From 16:00
    You must inform us in advance of your estimated arrival time.

  • Check-Out: By 10:00
    Late check-out may incur additional charges and is subject to availability.

3. Cancellation and Prepayment Policy

  • Cancellation and prepayment terms vary depending on the accommodation type and booking platform policies.

  • Please refer to your booking confirmation for specific details related to your stay.

  • If you have booked via our own website, please refer to section 12 of the terms and conditions on this page.

4. Damage Policy

  • Guests are responsible for any damage caused to the property or its contents during their stay.

5. Children and Bed Policies

  • Children of all ages are welcome at both locations.

  • The number of cots allowed depends on the accommodation option selected. All cots are subject to availability.

  • No extra beds are available at either property.

6. House Rules

  • Smoking: Strictly prohibited inside the property.

  • Parties/Events: Hen, stag, or similar parties are not permitted. No parties or events allowed at either location.

  • Pets: Pets are allowed. We charge £30 for up to two pets.

  • Age Restriction: There is no minimum age requirement for check-in.

  • Special Requests: We will do our best to accommodate special requests, but they cannot be guaranteed.

7. Guest Responsibilities

  • Guests must respect the property, neighbours, and local community.

  • Quiet hours must be observed, particularly in the evenings.

  • Any breach of house rules may result in immediate termination of your stay without refund.

8. Liability

  • This Must Be The Place Stays is not responsible for loss, theft, or damage to personal belongings during your stay.

  • Use of the property and its facilities is at the guest's own risk.

9. Force Majeure

We are not liable for any failure or delay in performance arising from causes beyond our reasonable control, including but not limited to acts of God, government restrictions, natural disasters, or pandemics.

10. Governing Law

These Terms and Conditions are governed by the laws of Scotland. Any disputes arising shall be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the Scottish courts.

 

11. Hens/Stags/Parties

  • This property will not accommodate hen, stag, or similar parties.

 

12. Cancellation Policy

If you booked through a third-party platform (e.g., Booking.com), please refer to their specific cancellation terms as they may differ.

For bookings made directly through our website, the following cancellation policy applies:

  • Free Cancellation: If you cancel within 24 hours of making your booking, you will receive a full refund.

  • If you cancel 14 days or more before your check-in date, you will be charged for the first night only, and the remaining balance will be refunded.

  • If you cancel less than 14 days before your check-in date, the booking is non-refundable.
